The Green Bay Packers' "not a football guy" president could have a HUGE impact on the football side
The Packers soon-to-be president is not a football guy like Mark Murphy. He's been around the game, but has focused on business and operations. Still, as America's Guest Jason Hirschhorn explains, he could have an enormous impact on the football side in Green Bay.

Safeties like McKinney see their interceptions directly related to DL inside pressure. True as well with CBs, but especially with safeties who are in position to nab overthrows and other errant passes when a QB has a monster raging up the middle and in their face.

Man for you to say Mcduffie and Quay are a toss up, shows how bias you are when it comes to your dislike towards Quay. It’s one things not to like him. Mcduffie has never impacted a packer game. Quay is a tackling machine who still needs to grown in other areas. You can not coach his size and speed. At least he was in position to make 5-7 picks. With 100+ tackles. Once he puts it all together consistently he’s going to be one of the better off ball linebackers.

I think Love's contract should be incentive based, since he only had 9 wins in 2023. Nine wins doesn't sound like a $60 million a yr contract to me. If Love gets 12 wins in 2024, which is very doable with the schedule they have, then give him the $60 million a yr. Maybe, the Packers can have two contracts written up... one for if he have 12+ wins, and the other contract for if he doesn't get it. BTW... I think the Packers should be able to get 13 wins in 2024. Love needs to get much better with his accuracy on the deep balls. Receivers are always needing to stop to catch them. If J. Love plays hardball, we still have Pratt and Clifford waiting to show their stuff.

If Christian Watson is healthy for a full season, I think he has all the potential to be a top wide receiver across the league. What he’s shown is that he’s capable of in limited action is quite exciting, but then you have swiss army knife players like Jayden Reed of making big plays with every touch, Romeo Doubs catching ability is constantly getting praised by coaches and teammates, and Dontayvion Wicks with his route running being compared to another Davante Adams is all of the praise one could hope for and then there’s Bo Melton who can and has proven to be our #1 wide receiver on any given weekend so it’s pick your poison. There’s also 2 impressive young TE’s Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft who may just be the most important pieces to the Matt Lafluer offense. Oh yeah for future predictions I say Jordan Love wins MVP. They have no glaring holes right now but edge, D line, corner and receiver could use some juice. If we can add meaningful players to all of those spots this offseason in free agency and the draft they can keep this whole team together for 2 more years because they are all young and cheap. The Green Bay Packers threw just about everything at our 1st-round 2024 NFL draft pick Jordan Morgan during the offseason workout program. The collegiate left tackle got reps at 4 different positions, left tackle, left guard, right guard, and right tackle in the latest example of the team’s on-going effort to cross-train the offensive line. The Packers know that Jordan Morgan has much to learn as a 1st-year player learning to play tackle and guard on both sides of the line but he will continue pushing himself on the mental side. It remains unclear where Jordan Morgan will fit best come training camp. Matt Lafluer said that the Packers would have a better idea about positioning of individual linemen once camp gets rolling and the team can start playing with the best 5 starting fits. Zach Tom, the expected starter at right tackle, has missed most of the offseason workout program with a torn pectoral muscle, opening the door for reps for both Jordan Morgan and veteran Andre Dillard. Jordan Morgan is also competing with Rasheed Walker at left tackle, and nothing is set in stone at right guard, where Sean Rhyan has been the primary option for the 1st-team offense. The Packers want offensive linemen to know that multiple positions to provide built-in protection against injuries. Zach Tom, for instance can play all 5 positions. The same can be said for our veteran Elgton Jenkins. Jordan Morgan might have a lot to learn mentally as a 1st-year player, but he looks like another multi-position puzzle piece player for Matt Lafluer, Adam Stenavich, and Luke Butkus along our offensive line. Now, Jordan Morgan and the rest of the Green Bay Packers will get a 5-week break before training camp begins on July 22nd. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

I couldn’t agree any better with Peter on a lot of things he really hit on with salaries that guys like Lawrence, Goff, and Burrow make, I think GB may wind up giving this man very close to $60 million cuz Love is a top 10 QB now and he well deserves that money, that Packers team last season shocked the whole league and we are definitely the team that can develop a qb and then manage to keep that guy for the next 10 plus seasons, they absolutely cooked this offseason too, to where they’ve got the well deserved SB hype talks cuz that team is LOADED offensively and defensively, it’s SB caliber built now.

There is not a world where anyone is worth 60m from only a man. The last games of his 1st season looks good. Market b.s. is going to ruin teams overall unless everyone can get huge contracts

Russ "Hard" Ball backed us into an unfortunate corner here. Just agree on a number before Trevor Lawrence resets the market. Love camp is absolutely right to be like, "Yo, Jordan is better..."

The smartest thing Jordan love could do it take 10mil per year under the top deal but ask for it 100% guaranteed. He could buy a voice in the roster. Buy more weapons. Buy respect from fellow veterans who know he’s legit and wants to win like Brady! If he took a 3 year deal at 10mil under and they went all out to get him weapons it would make his stats better, make his win loss record better and most likely buy him a superbowl in the next 3 years if not 2! If Love blew up from becoming the best statistical QB because he had elite receivers he would make way more in endorsements! He would easily make that 30mill back in endorsements from the increased performance. He would have way more fans in the media for taking a cut and more fans in the street to buy merch! Then after the 3 years you decide again if you want to be the highest paid now that you have a ring or 2 or if you want to win 2-4 more rings and keep taking less. Brady doesn’t regret taking a pay cut a day in his life. Rodger’s wouldn’t be able to spend all his money if he tried. He wouldn’t even notice his accounts being 30 mill short right now. But Rodger’s would be the GOAT with 2 more rings.
